Collaborations

The medicine is always better with friends…

Jaye Gould

Jaye is a Community Herbalist, and in her final year of study as a Medical Herbalist. She has been an antenatal educator and birth doula for over a decade. Her knowledge of herbal medicine underpins a holistic focus on building natural immunity for the whole family through optimal gut health, diet, and nutrition. She has a passion for empowering people to embrace their own healing journeys, connecting them with the plants best suited to supporting their unique mind, body and soul. For the last 2 years, Jaye has developed The Historical Herbalists, which integrates Scottish folk medicine with contemporary Western clinical herbalism. This blending of traditional wisdom together with evidence-based clinical practice continues the rich cultural heritage of Scottish wisewomen and healers.

Jennifer Worthen, LPC, MT-BC, FAMI

Jen Worthen is one of my dearest friends and I always enjoy our collaborations! She is one of the most gifted, dedicated and heart-centered practitioners of Paqokuna and Peruvian Curanderiasmo that I have had the honor to work with. Jen is unwavering in her dedication to helping people live more happy healthy lives.

Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Board-Certified Music Therapist and a Fellow with the Association of Music and Imagery. She has also trained in the use of an assessment tool utilizing ancient archetypal symbols and mandalas. Furthermore, she credits her training in the modality of the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (which is how she obtained the FAMI credential) as being instrumental in setting on her path of personal and collective healing, as well as being the work that introduced her to the power of the non-ordinary state of consciousness.

Jen began her study of indigenous wisdom and folk healing in 2006 when she began her apprenticeship in the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition with don Jason Blaesing and don Oscar Miro-Quesada Solevo. Since that time, she has been dedicated to healing and medicine work in various forms and has been lucky enough to find friends and mentors such as Jeff Firewalker and Ellen Kittredge to assist her in her continued learning of these old and sacred ways. Jen has a small private practice in which she weaves together her healing alter/mesa, counseling techniques and music or vibratory offerings in humble service to the empowerment of whomever shows up.
